Among single family homes, declining home prices (largely attributed to the mortgage crisis), and additions to the housing stock have made homeownership slightly more affordable in FY 2008, after a decade of rising home prices. In September 2008, the median sales price of an existing home was 8.8 percent less than a year prior. This was partially due to a more restrictive credit market and a drop-off of investor purchases that reduced demand for new homes.
In a high profile case of yet another homeowner being underwater with a mortgage even TV personality Ed McMahon is in danger of losing his Beverly Hills estate to foreclosure. Good old Ed probably took out too much equity from his almost $5,000,000 home as the value was increasing and now can’t service his mortgage payments as prices fall.

How often have you heard about the term “green home”? It has become important from a critical point of view to really “go green”. With the speed that we are losing the natural resources deep inside earth, it is imperative that we slow down our usage of such non-renewable resources and start using resources which are produced constantly.
